One sure way to tell the ski season has started is the arrival of the Local Yokel Party at The Wobbly Barn steakhouse in Killington. This annual event features half off entrees at the Wobbly Barn on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16 from 4:30pm to close. It’s sure to be a packed event and one well worth attending. November 1 was the day. With colder temps finally arriving, Killington kicked their snowmaking into full time operation blasting the North Ridge area as well as Superstar. Needing just a couple of days to provide sufficient coverage, many are predicting an opening day early this week! If you want to get a view of the current snowmaking, be sure and check out the new North Ridge Triple webcam.  

Woo-hoo! Looks like Killington is getting its first taqueria. Taco Experiment was just granted a liquor license from the town for a new space at the former site of Wally’s Diner. The owner, Adam Lindberg, has one location in Poultney, Vermont and looks to expand with a new Killington outpost. Mountain Green Resort in Killington will get a new restaurant for the 2019 – 2020 ski season. Hops on the Hill will be opening in the restaurant space that was formerly occupied by Rutland Beer Works. Scheduled for a November 1, 2019 opening date, they will be serving Vermont craft beers, cider and wine as well as creative pub fare. Their initial hours will be Wednesday to Sunday from 3pm...

Killington has announced that they will be closing out the 2018 – 2019 ski season on Sunday, June 2, 2019. This marks one of the longest ski seasons in recent memory and makes them the latest resort in the east to close. Thanks to Killington for an amazing season!
